Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial

Courtney is a Senior Legal Counsel who partners with decision-makers to facilitate their needs and support them in achieving their goals. With over eight years of experience, most of which has been spent working in-house within the broadcast and digital media industry, Courtney is both adaptable and commercially minded.

Her areas of expertise include media risk, defamation, and a broad range of general commercial matters such as technology, intellectual property, marketing, and advertising.

“I am passionate about understanding business risk appetite to deliver commercial solutions to legal issues. I enjoy building strong relationships with the industry experts in each business we support”.

Prior to joining Source, Courtney worked for Stuff, New Zealand’s largest media company, and TVNZ, the state broadcaster.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) – University of Waikato
  • Bachelor of Arts (French/German) – University of Waikato

 

Get to know Courtney

Courtney teaches yoga in her spare time which is the perfect antidote to a busy week at work.  She also loves cooking and sharing meals with family and friends and will take any chance to head to the beaches in the Eastern Bay of Plenty to visit family.
